Job Description


  • Ensure that all receiving and dispatching of stock for the branch is accurately and efficiently done.
  • Ensure all stock is picked, packed and distributed correctly and timeously.
  • Plan and coordinate the storage of goods and products, optimizing the warehouse layout, storage systems to maximise space utilization and productivity.
  • Generate all necessary stock reports, including weekly stock checks and new stock orders.
  • Complete all paperwork for stock, ensuring all stamps and signatures are corresponding.
  • Responsible in conjunction with the Branch Manager for all stock takes and administration.
  • Responsible for any stock variances in the branch and identifying the reasons thereof.
  • Responsible for resolving any stock related issues and minimising any recurrences.
  • Carry out spot checks on a regular basis ensuring stock quantities are accurate at all times.
  • Ensure all high value items in the branch are always verified and accounted for.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of stock and document collections, ensuring drivers logbook and delivery note book is signed properly.
  • Implement warehouse policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations, compliance.
  • Supervise warehouse staff.
  • Provide Pickers and packers with leadership, direction and training to ensure performance and productivity.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment activities, conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and inventory checks to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Implement inventory management techniques.
  • Coordinate with suppliers.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments, track delivery schedules, and resolve logistics issues to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and Inventory Control Software.
  • Analyse warehouse performance metrics, such as order fill rates, cycle times, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to coordinate inventory planning, order processing, and customer delivery requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues related to warehouse operations, delivery delays, or damaged goods, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and KPI tracking for warehouse staff, measuring key metrics such as productivity, accuracy, safety, and on-time delivery, and providing feedback and coaching for improvement.
  • Manage facility maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping activities, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop contingency plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends.
  • 3 years or more relevant work experience at Regal
  • Managerial experience essential
  • Stock management experience essential
  • Reliable transport
  • Work branch trading hours including alternate Saturdays from 8:00 to 12:00 and selected Public Holidays
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Regal product codes, processes and products
  • Computer literate and efficient on K8
