Brand Content, PR Assistant - MaitlandFull job descriptionPosition: Brand Content, PR AssistantLocation: Maitland, Cape Town, Western CapeOverview:We seek a highly talented Brand Content, PR Assistant who works well under pressure and overall enjoys the creative process to join our team. Please note, no remote positions are available, candidates must be based in Cape Town. Remuneration is market related.Duties & Responsibilities:Support the Content Manager to manage Silki PR listAbility and confidence to find creative angles that resonate with brand guidelinesDevelop personalised and friendly rapport with media contact listParticipate in daily media meetings and respond to instructions from senior staff timeously (i.e. email, instant message)Assist with media tactical campaigns for all project-related activitiesAssist with creative campaign concepts designConfident working in a fast-paced environmentGeneral understanding of business and media environmentCollaborative approach to solving problemsContribute content ideas to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.Support with drafting and designing social media content across various channels.Support with the creation of marketing materials for sales and events.Creation, filming and execution of Silki media contentPosting of short films/videosAssist in the idea generation, development and implementation of content and PR campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media and emailAssist in managing social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement with followers.Desired Experience & Requirements:Tertiary qualification with 2-3 years experience in PR or Digital MarketingFMCG sector experience, advantageousExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of PR and marketing concepts and practicesAssist to successfully plan and execute media campaignsCreative thinking and idea generationAbility to plan, organise and take initiative to meet departmental/job objectives and deadlines independentlyFamiliarity with social media advertisingProficiency in social media management tools and analytics platformsKnowledge of video editing skills are advantageousCreative and critical thinker with a strong eye for detail and aestheticsData-driven mindsetAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentUnderstanding of e-commerce and online retail trends is an advantageValid Drivers License (advantageous)If you have the required skills and a passion for social media, please email your CV to tamzen@kheper.co.zaSubject: Brand Content, PR AssistantShortlisted candidates will be contacted.
