As the successful incumbent you will have to create and implement the annual brand plan that delivers both the sales and brand category and profitability objectives.Line Manager: Marketing ManagerJob Specification:
Key Performance Areas:Brand Financial Performance:

  • Implement brand plans to enable sales and profitability targets
  • Manage Advertising and Promotion (A&P) expenditure to drive sales and brand image
  • Correctly prioritise A&P spend between brands to drive sales and brand profitability
  • Management of brands Profit and Loss (P&L)
Brand Performance:
  • Detailed tracking and reporting on the performance of brands
  • Monitoring brand health and corrective action
  • Drive consumer value
  • Build and enhance brand positioning
Innovation:
  • Deliver commercially viable product and promotional innovation
  • Remain abreast of market dynamics, consumer and product trends
  • Explore suitable innovation and implement approved brand and product opportunities
Brand Management:
  • Ensure the consistency of brand image, tonality and look-and-feel across all mediums including packaging, in-store, traditional above the line, Public Relations (PR) and digital media
  • Ensure brand differentiation across brand touch points
Marketing Plans:
  • Create a detailed annual brand plan for management approval and cross functional buy in.
  • Implement brand plan to achieve agreed brand objectives.
Minimum Requirements:Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Brand Manager role
  • Product Development experience and exposure would be advantageous
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 /Matric
  • Minimum 3 year marketing degree or diploma
Additional Requirements:
  • The ability to construct and implement brand plans and marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding in product development
  • Analyse and interpret financials
  • Microsoft Excel / Microsoft PowerPoint
  • SAP working experience
  • Project Management
