Job Description

Innovata Pharmaceuticals, which is part of the Avacare Health group is looking for aBrand Manager to join our team. This position is based in Ormonde, Johannesburg.

Job Overview:



Purpose of the job:



Implementing the full scope of marketing brand strategies to deliver innovative, operational brand plans to achieve business outcomes, Business Development, New Product Launches and Sales Support.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop & Implement Operational/Tactical Plans:


Develop strategic, well-thought brand/marketing plans to support the over-arching business strategy. As custodian of the brands at the company, you need to have a good sense of treatment categories and product knowledge. Achieve product sales targets assigned.

Evaluates campaign impact vs objectives. Strive for a high-performance work standard. Must maintain a pro-active and robust disposition with respect to job function. Drive and manage the full scope of brand management of all products under your management.




Teamwork:


Promotes cross-functional teamwork with sales, marketing, regulatory, medical, commercial to effectively implement campaigns, training programmes and Internal sales & customer support services.




Market Due Diligence & Business, Product Development:


Have a thorough understanding of the marketplace, patient flow, leverage points & competitor environment and develops plans to capitalize on opportunities and address threats.

Searches for business growth and new product opportunities. Identify gaps in the portfolio and make motivations for these products for BD considerations.




New Product Launches:


Responsibility to ensure that all prelaunch activities are initiated, driven, managed and completed, a timeline put in place to facilitate/meet launch deadlines. All projects are briefed in, and materials are available at the right time & of the right quality.

All admin processes are followed and finalized

Monitor outputs of external agencies and partners.




Budget:


Manages the A&P spend in line with budget & business requirements Ensuring that deviations are highlighted & corrective action proposed.




Compliance:


Ensures adherence in industry-specific codes of practice, advertising codes, regulatory directives & guidelines and the company's SOP's. Complete SEPA pricing applications. Listing with formularies and channel. All administrative work relating to the marketing and sales function




Reporting:


Prepares a monthly feedback reports on sales performance with corrective action, spend and account analysis Reports
on competitor tracking and market trends.


Provides feedback on sales forecasting.




In Field Work:


Ensure that rep co-working and infield activities are conducted on a bi-monthly basis. Proper processes and budgets need to be adhered to when working in-field. A Post-work Report must be compiled and submitted to management for evaluation.




Desired skills, experience and qualifications:


Grade 12

Marketing Degree or Equivalent

Good communication skills

Attention to detail

Accountability and dependability

Experience of 4 years in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry

Software (MS Office, IMS(IQVIA), SSD, Order Dynamics Repwise, Qlikview, Medikredit, Pastel, SAGE), SEPA pricing applications

Budgeting & Forecasting

Hospital and Specialist focus processes and networking experience. Marketing knowledge at this level

Medical Aid, Courier Pharmacy process and networking experience. Marketing knowledge at this level

Brand plan creation & development

New product launch processes, including projections & forecasting

In field working experience

Excellent trade (KOL) relationships

Medical congress & CME activity Organization & management
