All rights reserved.Job PurposeTo develop strategies, plans and activities to win with paint professionals in the Sub Sahara region. To develop key insights and solutions for each professional sub-segment and grow ahead of the competition. The position requires the ability to leverage internal and external data sources, tools, analytics and insights together with the deep understanding of the professional preferences and decision journeys (PDJ and SDJ) and to develop solutions which include products, tools, services and communication that resonate with formal specified trade and painters. In addition, individual is custodian of the professional, mass-market and economy brands.Key Accountabilities

  • To win with professionals
  • Develop the strategy for the trade portfolio and support this with a 3year plan
  • Understand and leverage emerging trends affecting the professional trade - formal and informal, specifications and painter.
  • Understand and leverage the drivers for each professional segment
  • Develop the trade product portfolios which include the Dulux Trade, Rockgrip, Maxicover & Bergermaster brands. Development of the portfolios to be based on specified trade and painter insights to ensure the successful adoption of the portfolios by the respective audiences and customer groups.
  • Leverage the full AN product assortment (hybrid products, those that span across consumer and trade) into the professional trade and propose trade facing innovation to service specified trade and painters.
  • Understand and maintain all Master Data and technical information for trade portfolios
  • Develop a sound marketing mix for each trade brand - price, place, product, communication (including above the line, below the line, digital, PR)
  • Manage volume, profit & loss for trade and its constituents
  • Develop and deliver 3year innovation roadmap for professionals in line with strategic priorities
  • Develop the tools required by the sales and training departments to support activation of trade assets and product portfolios. Lead market implementation via training and implementation workshops and regular tracking.
  • Source and leverage global trade related assets where relevant
  • Develop product stories and assets to strengthen product and communication to drive brand and/or product preference
  • Allocate and control spend associated to trade portfolio.
  • Comply with corporate and site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards.
  • Be familiar with sustainability requirements and available marketing sustainability materials for local markets.
Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or equivalent qualification
  • Broad based and extensive skill and competence in the key performance areas listed (5-7years)
  • Brand activation experience
  • In-depth knowledge and skill in MS Office Packages' SAP R3
  • Commercial and financial acumen are key requirements as well as project management & Gensight
  • Travel required within this portfolio locally, within Southern Africa and globally in accordance with operational demands.
