Bridge Design Engineer/technologist
Job Description
A large consulting company with offices across South Africa is looking for a Bridge Design Engineer/Technologist to join their growing team in Johannesburg
Minimum requirements:
xc2xb7 BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering)
xc2xb7 Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration (an added advantage)
xc2xb7 3 years plus experience in Bridge Design
xc2xb7 Knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Revit/Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD.
xc2xb7 Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
xc2xb7 Bridge Draughting experience (advantage)
Your responsibilities will include:
xc2xb7 Design of bridges or similar related structural engineering design.
xc2xb7 Contract administration, including the preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities.
xc2xb7 Manage the design process of projects.
xc2xb7 Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
xc2xb7 Assist in preparation of proposals.
xc2xb7 Assist with report writing as required.
xc2xb7 Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers.
