Job Description


We are urgently looking for a talented professional to complement our team, in the form of a Bridge Team Leader under a contract role based in Johannesburg North.Core Purpose
- Design of bridges and associated transport related structural elements.Key Performance Areas:
- Manage the bridge team.
- Manage the design process of projects.
- Projects Resource Allocation and Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
- Design of bridges and associated road structural elements.
- Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management.
- Able to lead a design team and work under pressure.
- Assist in preparation of proposals.
- Technical Report writing.
- Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers.
- Entrepreneurial with high business acumen.Qualifications
- BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering).
- Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration.
- Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage.Experience
- 12 years plus experience in Bridge Design.
- Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit.
- Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities.
- Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage.
- Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage.
