Job Summary Our client a leading Global supplier of unique and innovative iGaming content is urgently seeking to appoint a Senior IT Project Manager or IT Senior Consultant to be based in their Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa Offices. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE : To report directly into the Global Enterprise Systems Infrastructure Technology Services Manager. To be responsible for the overall management and successful completion of multiple strategic and operational projects of high complexity ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and according to agreed quality requirements, contributing stakeholder satisfaction, reduced risk, and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements. To coordinate and manage relevant activities across projects streams and interface with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS . At minimum a BSC / BCom degree / Business Diploma or Advanced Management Diploma or equivalent work experience in a related field At least 6 - 10 years Project Management Experience in large sized, high complexity projects. Ability to create project charters to identify project scope, critical success factors, risks, etc. Ability to develop Talent. Ability to make quality decisions. Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines. Able to effectively deal with difficult stakeholders; navigate in environments with ambiguity, change, and complexity; and achieve desired outcomes. Advanced stakeholder management knowledge Agile experience an advantage. Adaptably Resilient. Attention to detail; self-starting and strong focus on completing / finishing. Budgeting and cost management knowledge Business knowledge and / or skill Decision making skills. Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership. Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines as well as various IT project methodologies and life cycles Have expert knowledge of Software Project Management Have expert knowledge the SDLC or IT Delivery Cycle Highly developed Collaborative Relationship building skills. In-depth Conflict management skills In-depth experience and demonstrated ability to create, manage and complete complex projects using project management processes, tools and methods. In-depth working knowledge to define project and program standard operating procedures and implement and manage end-to-end processes. Is resourceful and innovative. Is well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task. Possess a Strategic Mindset. Possess thorough understanding of estimation, letters of agreement, master service agreements, statement of works, staffing models and associated rate cards. Possess working knowledge of MS Project, MS Office, EPM. Project management certification (PPM, Prince2, Agile, etc) Strong Communicator with ability to influence effectively. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Accountable for the end-to-end project planning and a Project Management Plan including plans for Scope, Communication, Risk & Issues, Cost and Stakeholder Management. Assess Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work to highlight shortcomings that could lead to poor contracting and result in project loss / poor delivery. Drives Results. Ensure that the appropriate project benefits are identified, quantified and realized. Establish and maintain a standard set of practices, processes and templates for managing projects and programs consistently and efficiently to reduce project related risk and costs. Define, manage, monitor, and report on budget variances in order to maximize financial performance. Maintain the Risk Log, Assumption Log, Issue Log, Dependency Log and Decision Log for administered projects. Set the strategic direction of all projects, define the project''s scope, and set milestones and deadlines. Identify needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles. Implement stringent project and program governance processes. Responsible for working with cross functional teams to define and prioritize roadmaps. Responsible for impact assessing and prioritizing roadmap changes in collaboration with the cross functional teams. Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to ensure project delivery and service excellence to all project stakeholders. Partner with project stakeholders to complete business cases, prepare profit and loss analyses and design new templates as part of project selection and continuous improvement. Monitor compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, templates, and other shared documentation.
