Northern Suburbs of JohannesburgPOSITION INFO:About the Role:IT Technology Solutions Enterprise Level - The BU Lead Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the business in penetrating and expanding within the Mining, Industrial, and Petrochemical sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of driving sales, improving efficiencies, and leading teams to achieve sales and profit targetsRole and Responsibilities

  • Industry Penetration: Utilise your industry experience to develop and execute strategies for accessing and expanding in the Mining, Industrial, and Petrochemical sectors. Lead market penetration initiatives in relevant industries
  • Sales Target Achievement: Drive and achieve sales and profit goals, identifying new business opportunities and securing new logos.
Establish and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor teams to foster growth, ensuring alignment with company objectives and personal development goals.
Drive pipeline development, revenue forecasting, and business planning
  • Efficiencies: Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing operations to streamline processes, ensuring smooth execution of sales strategies and increasing overall operational efficiency
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver value to clients and stakeholders.
Drive strategic account planning and key client relationship managementRepresent the company at industry events and forumsReporting & Analysis: Regularly report on sales progress, market trends, and operational performance to the Sales Executive.Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Develop and execute GTM strategies aligned with the company''s overall business objectives.Own P&L responsibility with accountability for revenue targets and profitability metricsCapitalise on new market opportunities and revenue streams
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and track sales forecasts, quotas, and performance metrics.
Qualifications3-year Degree / N-diploma (NQF 6) preferably in Sales, Marketing or related studiesExperienceMin of 10 years experience in sales management, preferably in the technology sector with proven experience in salesAdditional Requirements
  • Strong client network throughout the market.
  • Prior experience in a start-up or business led by a founder would be advantageous.
  • Master''s degree in the relevant field would be highly advantageous
