Job SummaryWe are seeking a Business Analyst on a contract to be based in Johannesburg that will be required on focusing on credit modules, and involved in defining business requirements, optimizing credit processes, assessing impacts on IT systems, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have direct experience as a business analyst within the credit risk space.Responsibilities:

• Credit Business Analysis:

• Define requirements and product configurations for Murex product suite modules, including Murex Limits Controller and Basel II Credit Capital Calculator.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of credit processes, systems, information flows, and functional system requirements.
• Process Development & Optimization:

• Build, develop, and maintain business processes for Credit, continuously aligning them with changing business needs.
• Identify business requirements and constraints for systems implementations.
• Analyze gaps between current and future states, proposing re-engineered or optimized processes.
• Impact Assessment & Solution Definition:

• Evaluate the business and IT impact of proposed projects and new requirements.
• Ensure full end-to-end Credit system assessments, including dependencies on upstream and downstream systems.
• Translate business needs into system functionalities in line with business architecture standards.
• Project Alignment & Delivery:

• Ensure projects are aligned with the to-be architecture, focusing on consistent definitions and business rules.
• Assist in defining report requirements, functional specifications, and process documentation to support business needs.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Oversee functional, integration, and user acceptance testing activities, ensuring solutions meet business and functional specifications.
• Provide proactive problem-solving and propose effective solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Expertise:

• Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Architects, and other Business Analysts.
• Engage in technical discussions and support the Credit business information model and data processing guidelines.
• Offer expert advice on Credit business processes, systems, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:Education:

• Relevant degree or qualification in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in major projects or with credit business exposure, preferably within the investment banking sector.
• Strong background in implementing business solutions (build and buy).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Murex product suite, with knowledge of Murex Limits Controller and Basel II Credit Capital Calculator.
• Advanced Excel skills for creating and maintaining test packs and scenarios.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical discussions.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Stay updated with credit management trends and best practices.
• Ability to challenge business demands and identify redundant needs across the Credit domain.
