Job Description


The Information Management team of this Global manufacturing giant seeks a qualified Systems Business Analyst. Reporting to the IT Manager, the purpose of the role is to:

  • Evaluate, implement, design and build IT business solutions and manage resources;
  • Ensure that system application solutions fit business process needs;
  • Develop solutions to support smooth operations and improve business efficiency, automation and productivity;
  • Competently work with and understand data for reporting purposes.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Degree in IT / Business or equivalent.
  • Min. 6 to 10 years senior level experience in a systems' development environment.
  • Minimum 5 years as a Systems Analyst in a manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
  • Experience in Advanced Delphi Programming and SQL (Structured Query Language).
  • Knowledge of Oracle or equivalent databases, as well as Web development and mobile app development skills essential.
  • Understanding of Weighbridge operations, Plantation management, and GIS systems an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas:
  • Design, implement and maintain effective programs and initiatives to provide IT solutions.
  • Analyse business performance, in conjunction with business process owners.
  • Undertake complex process analysis.
  • Design and create proposals, which includes technical process problem-solving.
  • Conduct unit tests, integration tests and develop module functional documentation.
  • Conduct Go-live preparation and Go-live support.
  • Act as the key specialist point of contact in problem-solving and investigations.
  • Ensure system integration and business continuity by effectively managing projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders such as the Finance department, suppliers, direct line management, etc. to ensure correct system applications and development.
  • Liaise with external Specialist Consultants and other in-house Developers for implementing cross functional solutions.
  • Assist the company to capitalise on new opportunities, focusing on digitalisation, automation, and optimisation of resources.
  • Ensure effective management of risk and good corporate governance.
  • Ensure legal compliance in area of responsibility.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that create value to the business.
  • Continuously analyse, develop and re-engineer processes to ensure quality outputs and optimal departmental processes.
