JOB PURPOSE:
The Business Development Assistant will be instrumental in supporting the Business Development Team, managing marketing initiatives, and taking the lead on various projects. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with a solid background in sales, marketing, and business development, ideally within the property sector. The Assistant will support both day-to-day operations and contribute to long-term business development goals.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
Identify, qualify, and nurture new leads to convert them into clients. Build relationships with property developers, freeholders, and leaseholders. Provide tailored marketing materials to attract potential clients, including cold calling.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
Conduct research to identify opportunities and competitor activities, translating findings into effective marketing strategies.
Business Development Support:
Assist the team in prospecting new leads, nurturing existing relationships, and developing new business opportunities.
Marketing Materials & Branding:
Design and produce marketing materials like brochures, proposals, and presentations using tools like Canva, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality output.
Database Management:
Update and maintain customer databases, segment leads, and prepare performance reports to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
SKILLS AN
D QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years' experience in a similar sales, marketing, or business development role, ideally in the property or real estate sector.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and team members.
Proven project management ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with CRM systems and content management tools such as Canva and Pipedrive.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve marketing outcomes.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Professionalism, adaptability, and a proactive approach to work.
Keen interest in the property sector with a willingness to learn about property laws and trends.
Leadership skills and the initiative to drive projects when needed.

BENEFITS:
Up to
R24 000 per month (depending on experience)

Requirements:
Must be based in Cape Town for occasional office visits in Stellenbosch and company socials.
Access to fibre internet with a minimum line speed of 50 Mbps and a quiet workspace at home
Availability for a trial day to assess skills
