Job Summary Responsibilities Discuss potential solutions with customers based on expert level functional knowledge of solution domains (Telecommunications/Electrical Utilities) Develop new business, sell products, solutions and services to existing or new customers of the Smallworld line of business Ensure Maintenance and Support renewal proposals are prepared, approved and submitted by the required due dates Ensure quotations and tenders are prepared, approved and submitted by the required due dates Efficient communication to all sales or proposal stakeholders, including the customer Develop and maintain good customer relationships for the future growth of the company Use the various sales tools (CRM, ERP, iBot, etc.) Prepare and deliver presentations to new or existing customers Prepare and deliver demonstrations of solution functionality to new or existing customers Assisting the customers with vendor registrations and/ or credit applications Vetting of orders, initiate and follow up on registration of new projects on ERP Follow up on technical questions from customers and conduct regular site or customer visits Evaluate customer inquiries and technical feasibility of projects Interface with the Companys engineering departments regarding customer requirements and specifications Interface with OEMs on the latest product developments in response to customer requirements Support development of sales and marketing material Minimum Qualification and Experience Required Engineering Degree or Diploma Function related experience: 7-10 years relevant experience in Business Development for Specialised Enterprise Software Applications Detailed Technical knowledge of Smallworld, Telecommunications and Electrical UtilitiesMECS AfricaRecruiter
