  • We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with existing and new education clients. Education clients include school and higher education, private and public sector.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable record of success in Education sales and be a seasoned sales professional with experience selling at Senior/Executive level.
  • The candidate will have a solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and developing mutually profitable relationships.
  • Also, the candidate must understand complex sales cycles, build consensus throughout multiple levels of organisations, and be adept at developing relationships at executive levels.
  • The ability to prospect and manage an existing account base as well as develop new business is essential.
Key Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in education based products ( preferably technology related ).
  • Have existing contact base in school and /or higher education sector.
  • Technologically savvy - open to using various software, understanding technological solutions.
  • Enthusiastic about technology in education.
  • Experience with solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent conceptual, verbal and written communication as well as networking skills.
  • High quality preparation, presentation and project management skills.
  • Be highly motivated and organised, work independently, and possess strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to and drive change as required.
  • Experience in customer support.
  • Ability to effectively engage with extended teams in the planning and execution of strategy and associated projects.
  • Demonstrate consistent ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Be able to secure new business in highly competitive situations.
  • Innovative and creative thinking.
  • Attention to detail and sound administration ability.
Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining a network of education customer contacts and partners in the region
  • Develop strong relationships with the customer leading to a deep understanding of their needs
  • Showcase iStore Education solutions as a strategic fit for the customer institution through workshops, training sessions and strategy meets.
  • Drive implementation of the sales process and CRM.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients. scheduling a minimum of 3 meetings per day.
  • Have a weekly call cycle plan in place.
  • Host regular events and training sessions to educate leaders, teachers, faculty, staff and students on latest education solutions and offer.
  • Sales and Marketing Initiatives planning and reporting.
  • Education Pipeline in place, up to date and accurate.
  • Online sales training and product knowledge courses completed.
  • Develop and maintain strong Apple and industry relevant product knowledge.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets set.
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and reports.
Role details:
  • Full time, based in Sandton
  • Reside in the territory and be able to travel with overnight stays.
  • Own transport essential.
  • Basic salary, with sales based quarterly incentive.
