Job Description


Our client in the IT industry is currently looking a Business Development Manager: Lenovo Consumer and Commercial, in Midrand, Johannesburg.Responsibilities:

  • Increase customer coverage/count for vendor and business Achieving monthly targets and goals
  • Increase vendor product coverage for vendor
  • Increase geographic coverage for vendor
  • Develop relationships with both the defined set of Lenovo Partners and selected resellers across all market segments and channels.
  • Grow share of wallet of Lenovo branded products across business customer base with special focus on storage.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams for emerging Lenovo into these accounts.
  • Provide weekly sales forecast to management.
  • Provide input to product team regarding stock holding.
  • Work with reseller partners to devise Lenovo growth strategies and implement these strategies.
  • Help with marketing strategies and assist with the sales process.
  • Identify and help implement market strategies.
  • Disseminate product information to sales and customers (including training schedule).
  • Position vendor product set as part of product dissemination.
  • Track and share market knowledge on competitive brands.
  • Keep abreast of latest technology and relevance to Lenovo Brand.
  • Have knowledge of roadmaps and product life cycles.
  • Engage with customers and partners to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key partners to ensure alignment and growth
  • Perform detailed sales analysis and reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business decisions
  • Develop and deliver training programs for partners and internal teams on Lenovo products and solutions.
  • Ensure continuous learning and development to stay updated with industry trends and Lenovo offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Matric with mathematics is essential.
  • A tertiary Degree/Diploma is essential, a Sales & Marketing or IT qualification will be advantageous.
  • Solid negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the IT distribution industry and market trends.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the ICT market will be advantageous.
  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Excel Formulation, Pivots and Data Analytical functions.
  • Be able to work in a pressured environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Attention to detail i.e. meticulous.
  • High level of customer service.
  • Intermediate understanding of Finance.
  • Proven ability to meet targets and close deals.
Remuneration:
  • Up to R 40 000 per month.
