Job Purpose:The Business Development Manager (BDM) is often the first point of contact a new potential client will have with a business when they are seeking information on the services the company provides. The BDM also responds to RFP's, tenders, and develops sales in new sales territories. Securing contracts to provide mining, crushing and screening services to numerous mining clients.**One position available in Northwest province and One in Northern Cape (2 posts available)Position Requirements:EducationBSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant fieldExperience1.3- 5 years experience in Mining Industry2.Proven experience in Sales3.Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software4.Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role in a medium sized companyKey Result Areas1.New customer acquisition targets and lead generation2.Achievement of sales revenue targets3.Achievement of customer satisfaction objectives4.Teamwork5.Accountability and sales reporting objectives6.Account planning, opportunity management, updating CRM information and maintainingKey Responsibilities and Main Tasks: * Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain

  • Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the companys services addressing or predicting clients objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Monitoring and reporting on market trends
  • Networking with industry associations, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers
  • Compiling and submitting proposals and tender applications accurately and timeously
RequirementsCompetencies * Planning and Organisation: Proven ability to effectively allocate resources and plan for the implementation of work.

He must also be an approachable and likable individual who is able to make strong and meaningful connections with others, making it easy for junior and collaborating personnel to follow in his directives and for stakeholders and external partners to trust in his insights and judgments.
