SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager within the mining industry based in the North West.POSITION INFO:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • New Business Generation (min 10-15 years external sales experience)
  • Degree/ National Diploma in Business Management/Marketing/Entrepreneurship or any other relevant tertiary qualification
  • Must be Computer Literate
  • Proven Sales track record within this specific geography
  • Must be proficient in standard Microsoft programmes.
  • Strong Entrepreneurial /Sales experience an advantage
  • Entrepreneurial personality or character traits
  • Proven experience in managing a multi-faceted and multi-dimensional role such as this
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy that focus on specific market segments.
  • Sell and achieve monthly target & deadlines
  • Source, negotiate and sign new business- Grow Sanitech Brand
  • Build and maintain relationships with all Municipalities and Departments
  • Must be aware of all upcoming tenders for Municipalities and Departments
  • Sourcing, costing and assisting with all upcoming Tenders
  • Delivering of Tenders
  • Attending Briefing Sessions, Opening of Tenders and Debriefing Sessions for Tenders
  • Appealing Declined Tenders and following up on feedback
  • Must be active on all Municipal and Departments websites weekly to check for upcoming RFQs & Tenders
  • Know who clients current Service Providers are
  • Know competitors strategy/ costing
  • Build relations in order that Sanitech becomes the preferred supplier
  • Plan and set up appointments with the identified customers
  • Deal with clients professionally at all times
  • Ensure the cost associated with opening the new account are kept in line with the approved budget
  • Liaise with Branch Manager where necessary
  • Complete contract documents in detail to stream line the implementation of new contract
  • Work effectively alongside Ops in implementation of new contracts
  • Ability to conduct sales presentations to senior management and Directors at potential customers
  • Uphold image of company at all times
  • Formulate, call and plan cycle as well as daily call reports
  • Assist in providing knowledge and expertise to outer lying depots in region and to when required.

  • Prepare proposals, quotes &/ solutions to customers with accurate costing and follow-up
  • Develop a healthy pipeline and keep it updated
  • Handle complaints and queries
  • Manage existing customers (From Quotation to Implementation Phase and Follow Ups)
  • Maintain existing customers
  • Work closely with other departments (Operations and accounts)
  • Must be able to communicate with staff and customers at all levels
  • Network with other companies within the Waco Group
  • Assisting with general branch duties from time to time
  • Assist with debtors when required
  • Selling the full scope and offering that Sanitech has to offer
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURABLES (This involves the most important end results for which an incumbent would be held responsible)
  • Achieve monthly sales targets
  • Number of new clients brought in
  • Growth of business in general
  • Quote hit rate
  • Number of daily calls
  • Number of quote output
Salary - R65 000 + commission, company cellphone, company petrol card
