The MiWay MIS Team is responsible to provide Business intelligence (BI) as a solution that includes the applications, infrastructure, tools, and best practices that enable access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance within MiWay as a business.
We need to deliver the technology-related insight necessary for our business users to make the right decisions, every day.
The candidate must have passion for data, numbers , reporting and show strong capabilities when developing BI solutions. The main key performance area will be to develop reporting solutions as a Business Intelligence developer.Minimum Qualification Required

  • Designing and building reports using Pivots and connections within a OLAP or Tabular data warehouse architecture
  • Be proficient with SQL and using SSIS/SSRS and SSAS
  • Accounting degree
Minimum Experience
  • A minimum between 8 - 10 years' experience working within a Microsoft environment using SQL, SSIS and SSRS is needed.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within a financial services' operational environment, analysing and reporting on business processes and financial performance.
  • Previous experience in budgeting, cost versus benefit-, and incident impact- analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of the South African banking environment's principles, systems, and processes, including DebiCheck.
  • Skilled in data visualisation, storytelling and report writing.
Deliverables include, but will not be limited to
  • Analysing and understanding data from multiple sources including sales, customer, accounting, and banking data sets and create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making.
  • Working with several large and complex SQL databases.
  • Be fully capable of developing OLAP or Tabular Model Cubes within a SQL environment. (SQL Server 2010 or higher).
  • Preparing and analysing complex expenditure models within the banking team.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce bank charge spend without impacting the RD rate.
  • Facilitation of complex cost versus benefit analysis as well as quantifying the cost impact of Operational risk incidents.
  • Proposing competitive collection strategies based on trends highlighted through data analysis.
  • Working with our clients, creating a relationship and deliver to their requirements.
