May commission outside market research studies. Assists with the development of new products, formulation of advertising strategies and the development of sales forecasts.What will make you successful in this role?This role is responsible to perform the end-to-end business intelligence and management information tasks through working with business representatives, product owners, etc. to define and elicit requirements, analyse data and create insights by using data at hand.Key outcomes
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Business Intelligence (BI) and Management Information (MI) Lead:

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the BI/MI initiatives, aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and interpret data, providing valuable insights.
  • Decision Support: Assist in decision-making processes by offering data-driven recommendations.
  • Accurate Reporting: Work closely with Business and IT stakeholders to ensure precise reporting.
  • Empowering Business Consumers: Support business units by providing relevant and timely information.
  • Overseeing Overall Functioning: Lead and mentor a team of business intelligence analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Qualification and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with BI technologies such as Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, or similar.
  • Understanding of data warehouse design, including concepts like dimensional modeling.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, including dashboard development and data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, requirements gathering, and the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
