About the Role:



As the Business Manager for Funder Reporting & Writing, you will provide strategic business support to the Chief Impact Officer and the CEO's office. Your primary responsibilities will include developing funder proposals and strategy, writing proposals, and crafting reports. You will oversee and report on the progress of strategic business initiatives and priorities, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:




Assist and communicate with executives regarding decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation. Support the improvement of current organizational processes and optimize procedures for efficiency and productivity. Shape and implement special executive-level projects for the CEO and Chief of Staff. Develop board and Exco level reports by liaising with relevant senior-level leaders to source and appropriately package required information. Attend board and Exco meetings to capture minutes, including key actions and decisions. Support the CEO and Chief of Staff with diary management, planning, and coordination of executive team and board meetings, and other relevant initiatives to ensure overall productivity and effectiveness. Manage the development of key proposals by liaising with relevant leaders and progressing the proposal development to completion and submission. Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications. Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations. Promote and strengthen Harambee's values-based culture. Design funding proposals, identifying aligned strategic priorities of potential investors to Harambee's strategy. Work with responsible business owners and finance to ensure operationally sound and financially sensible proposals are created. Maintain a forward view of expiring funding proposals, and identify opportunities to extend, renew, or recontract. Maintain ready-to-go approved content for funding proposals, creating an efficient and easier process for producing, reviewing, and finalizing funding proposals.

Minimum Requirements:




Matric / Grade 12. (Tertiary qualification can be an added advantage). Minimum of 5 - 10 years of related experience. Strong writing skills, grant management / funder management, stakeholder management, and strategy consulting experience are a plus.
