Manage business Botwana and Zambia operations, including finance, operations staff, and customer relations.
Develop and implement plans to achieve business objectives and foster long-term growth.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify areas for improvement and drive cost optimization efforts.
Lead and motivate a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performance culture.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to enhance business partnerships and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Accountable for the net margin (profit and losses) of portfolio of customers. This includes management of revenue (sales) and cash fixed costs (operations costs).
Lead sales growth within the region and portfolio of customers
Lead periodical reviews and optimizations of profit and losses analysis per customer / site within the portfolio.
Compliance to applicable legislation.
Management of human resources and operating assets.
Development of people within their area.
Management and control of operating costs.
Management of assets and infrastructure on sites under his leadership.
Balancing customer requirements with organisational capacity.
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent certification.
Bachelors degree in business / engineering or equivalent, or a related field.
Mining Engineering preferred.
MBA or MBL (Advantageous).
Diploma in Explosives Management (Advantageous).
Surface or Underground Blasting Certificate of Competency (Advantageous)
