Must have a relevant tertiary undergraduate qualification
Minimum 10 years experience in business or sales in agriculture, preferably in the Southern Africa market
Knowledge and understanding of the seed industry is advantageous
Zambian national, proficient in one or more local languages is essential
Must have substantive experience working and/or living in rural African farming contexts and building relationships across sectors and disciplines
Demonstratable fluency in key work tools such as Microsoft Office
Ability to professionally and respectfully dissent, and logically debate challenges
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working with C-suite executives and government officials
Valid drivers license and be willing to travel when required
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Researching, preparing, and executing a sales plan to generate new recurring revenue.
Developing and managing distribution channels for company products in the region.
Identifying, recruiting, and onboarding a high-performing sales and marketing team.
Working closely with the TD team in the registration of new products in line with regulatory requirements.
Being an outstanding external spokesperson for the company and its products.
Generating new business by leveraging existing and building new relationships across private and public sectors, NGOs, government, commercial, and SHF.
Providing market feedback and analyzing data to aid in decision-making.
Travelling to client sites and conducting market visits up to 50% of the time.
