Since our inception four years ago, we have achieved a turnover of over 500k annually. However, we are now seeking a seasoned business partner with a strong background in construction to help us streamline operations, improve profitability, and take the business to the next level.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to join us as a partner and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AQL Carpentry Ltd.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Partner with a proven track record of owning and running a successful construction business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, financial oversight, and business strategy.

As a Business Partner, you will oversee the operational and financial aspects of the business, allowing the founder to focus on running projects on the ground. Your primary goal will be to implement strategies that improve profitability, streamline processes, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilitie

Financial Management:

- Analyze current financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve margins, and increase profitability.

- Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

Operational Oversight:

- Streamline business operations to improve efficiency and productivity.

- Implement best practices for project management, procurement, and resource allocation.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Business Strategy:

- Develop and execute a long-term business plan to achieve sustainable growth.

- Identify new revenue streams and business opportunities.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

- Provide guidance and mentorship to the existing team.

- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.

Partnership Collaboration:

- Work closely with the founder to align business goals and strategies.

- Share expertise and insights to drive the business forward.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a business owner or senior manager in the construction industry.

- Strong financial acumen with a track record of improving profitability.

- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, project management, and industry regulations.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business plans.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a partnership model.

- Based in the UK or willing to travel occasionally (if remote).

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R100000,00 - R500000,00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
