Job Summary Building Services Mechanical Engineer (Fire) Cape Town, WC Market Related (Commensurate with Experience) Join a dynamic team as a Building Services Mechanical Engineer specializing in fire safety! This is a fantastic opportunity to develop fire safety and compliance designs for multi-disciplinary construction projects across South Africa and internationally. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in the mechanical building services environment At least 10 years of experience in SANS deemed-to-satisfy and rational building fire safety design, including the design of firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation systems, stair pressurization systems, and fire sprinkler systems Experience in thermal modeling is advantageous BEng in Mechanical Engineering; Pr Eng Fire or Mechanical Engineering preferred Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel Must be either registered with ECSA or keen to apply for professional registration Duties Develop fire safety and compliance designs for various construction projects Manage small to medium projects with limited guidance and large projects as part of the company's fire design management team Professionally represent the company in client meetings, site meetings, and surveys Assist with the preparation of tender documentation and general project management administration
