In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise, ensuring the successful execution of projects and driving business growth.Key Responsibilities:-Provide visionary leadership to the Structural and Civil division, guiding technical and project management teams.
-Offer expert technical guidance to Structural Engineers and manage Civil Engineering projects.
-Oversee and structure team and project organisation, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality outcomes.
-Drive business development initiatives, winning new projects by leveraging relationships with clients and consulting partners.
-Manage the commercial and financial aspects of the team and projects, maintaining budget control and profitability.
-Conduct stakeholder needs' analysis and maintain effective communication with clients.
-Lead all aspects of bids, ensuring successful project acquisition.
-Ensure technical delivery, pricing, resource balancing, change management, and maintenance of as-bid margins.
-Approve designs, assessments, and calculations in accordance with quality procedures.
-Communicate effectively with clients through meetings, reports, and virtual platforms, resolving conflicts as they arise.
-Review project performance, implementing course corrections as needed.
-Develop staff, focusing on middle management, mentoring junior engineers toward registration, and enhancing digital skills.Requirements:-Bachelor's degree in engineering (B Eng / BSc Eng / B Tech Eng).
-Professional Engineer / Technologist (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng with ECSA).
-Minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience, with multidisciplinary experience from client, consultant, and/or contractor perspectives.
-At least 10 years' structural experience within the Built Environment industry, with a minimum of 5 years leading a team of 10 or more staff.
-Proven track record as a technical team leader, with the ability to support, mentor, and develop engineers.
-Excellent communication skills, capable of effective interaction at all levels.
-Professional registration with relevant project management bodies (ECSA, SACPCMP, and/or PMI).EE Disclaimer:
