Purpose of the Job
To buy effectively so as to ensure sales growth and increase in gross margins, in addition to necessary advertising spend recoupment. Key outputs include: 1. Product range and line determination 2. Product pricing administration 3. Advertising and promotions management 4. Buyer assistant management 5. Stock level issues resolution in the stores and the distribution centres 6. Merchandising layout determination 7. Transfer of skills to, or coaching of, trainee buyers. Transfer as Expat Buyer to Angola and/or other countries operating in the Africa Division

Qualifications Desirable
- Grade 12
- Business diploma or degree
- Experience as a buyer in food retail
- Successful completion of the Trainee Buyer Programme
