Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Logistics or Supply Chain Post Graduate qualification
- Experience working on Sage or Xperdyte
- Familiar using ERP systems
- At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer buying Pharmaceutical Finished products locally and from abroad
- Proven experience in Lean Principles / Theory of constraints / Six Sigma
- Pharma or FMCG industry experience
- Negotiate optimal pricing and terms through RFPs and RFQs
- Secure diverse sourcing from qualified cGMP suppliers
- Foster strong supplier partnerships with suppliers
- Manage production flow through the MPS
- Proactively manage open orders and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with the New Product Development Team to ensure smooth product launches
- Establish clear communication channels with contract manufacturers by sharing finalized production plans.
- Provide weekly inventory insights to management, enabling informed production and purchasing decisions.
- Monitor finished goods inventory and proactively identify potential stockouts or overstocks.
