Introduction
Our client based in Cape Town is seeking a Buyers Assistant to join the team.
Description
Duties:
- Range building administration and support
- Style and sample preparation
- Query resolution
- General administrative support to buyer
- Communication with stakeholders including suppliers/finance/distribution centre, etc.
Qualifications and experience:
- At least three years' retail experience in a similar role
- A qualification in Fashion Design would be advantageous
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- English language skills
- Basic knowledge of the buying process
- Basic knowledge of garment construction
- Basic understanding of the brand
- Attention to detail
- Pro-active and quick learner
- Flexible and adaptable in relation to duties and working hours
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to communicate well with all internal and external stakeholders
- Systematic and organised
