WE ARE LOOKING FOR...A hardworking Chartered Accountant with strong financial and analytical skills, who can assume full responsibility for the financial function on Asuer. The successful applicant must be able to work independently and feel comfortable working on different ERP systems.WHAT YOU WILL GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO..

  • Prepare and analyse cashflow forecasts.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly management packs and related analyses.
  • Prepare and analyse profit and loss forecasts.
  • Capture ad-hoc accounting journals.
  • Oversee statutory compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of various SARS returns including:
  • Monthly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations.
  • Income tax returns.
  • Provisional tax returns.
  • Ad valorem returns.
  • Calculate provisional and income liabilities.
  • Build and analyse data and prepare various reports as required by the business.
  • Work closely with other departments within the business to:
  • Add value and financial expertise to operational decision making.
  • Enhance financial control.
  • Manage external audit processes (including Financial, SARS related and bank audits).
  • Maintain and improve internal control systems, specifically regarding financial controls.
  • Assist to manage business and financial risks, including:
  • Insurance cover.
  • Business continuity.
  • Manage foreign exchange risk:
  • Prepare forex exposure reports.
  • Manage FEC contracts and utilisation thereof.
  • Prepare creditors reconciliations.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timeous payment of creditors.
  • Prepare debtors statements.
  • Monitor credit exposures.
  • Ensure timeous collections from debtors.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS SHOULD INCLUDE..
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Registration as a CA(SA).
  • At least 2 years' experience post-articles as a Financial Manager.
  • Work experience from one of the Big 4 firms in South Africa.
  • Experience in auditing and/or working within the financial services, telco or banking sector is crucial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
