CAD Operator - Jhb NorthJob SummaryWe are currently seeking a talented and experienced Roads and Stormwater CAD Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and implementation of road infrastructure and stormwater management systems, utilizing their expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design concepts and specifications for roads and stormwater infrastructure projects.Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings, plans, and schematics for road layouts, drainage systems, and stormwater management facilities.Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.Assist in the preparation of construction documents and technical reports.Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and clients.Coordinate with other members of the design team to integrate road and stormwater designs with overall project plans.Qualifications:Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Civils 3D, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly in the areas of road design and stormwater management.Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to road and stormwater infrastructure.Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
