Job Description
CAD Technical Designer / BIM Specialist - Cape TownA Design Studio based in Cape Town is looking for a CAD Technical Designer with hospitality and commercial experience to join their team. They are predominantly in the Signage & Wayfinding space, running adjacent to Architecture, Landscape and Interior Design.Responsibilities:
- Create detailed signage layout drawings, Design Stages to Construction
- Create and coordinate BIM model with other design disciplines
- Work independently to handle BIM management of projects
- Create technical drawings and specifications for construction and manufacture
- Working in a team closely with senior designers
- Rendering, presentation and graphic skills advantageous
- Degree/Diploma in Architecture/Interior Design or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the built environment industry
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Adobe Creative Suite and other design software ie. 3d Max with rendering skills will be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
