CAD Technician - Cape TownJob SummaryJob Title: CAD Technician About Our Client:We have over 30 years experience in themed attraction design and build. We create compelling propositions, environments and attractions for theme parks, zoos, hotels, museums, family entertainment and heritage centers.Equally at home developing established brands as we are creating completely new concepts, characters and film media for individual rides and interactive experiences, or for complete visitor attractions, we can take your project from the initial seed of an idea, through the creative development process of writing, visualising, storyboarding, designing the three dimensional environment, right up to specifying the materials and providing on-site art direction during installation.Every project is special and our team will find unique and innovative ways to bring yours to life:Working as a CAD technician, you will be expected to deliver packages of drawings to specific standard with sufficient detail to provide a very clear design intent that will be used by contractors to create their construction drawings. You will have the ability to interpret 2d and 3d thematic concepts into xe2x80x98real world plans and elevations that can be built as permanent facilities. We expect you to have a reasonable understanding of the design process and be able to use your initiative and creative skills to transform our conceptual designs in to considered technical drawings, with suitable materials and finishes that correctly deliver the desired design intent.Much of our work is based on the characters and xe2x80x98worlds of well-known IPs and brands and often with organic, fantastical scenery and thematic elements, which we will expect you to be able to translate into coherent technical drawings.We can provide examples of the types of packages we deliver, including the level of detail and information wed expect to be included. RequirementsProficient to a high level in Autodesk AutoCAD.Knowledge of 3D modelling programmes, ideally Cinema 4D.Knowledge of and skills with the Adobe Creative suite may also be useful.Experience delivering technical drawing packages for hospitality, leisure, interiors, retail and entertainment projects, as well as film or TVCapable of working as part of a remote team primarily UK/ EU time zoneBenefitsLocation: RemoteEmployment Type: 6-month contract (with possible extension, as there is a 2nd project after this goes live in July 2025)UK Working Hours: 9-5pmSalary Range: R30 000 - R50 000NB: Due to the high volume of applications, if you have not received a response from the Talent Acquisition team within 4 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
