R10 000 - R15 000 - Plus commission for a Junior AttorneyClosing date: End June 2024Responsibilities:- Handle a wide range of litigation matters, including but not limited to civil litigation, motion practice, and trial work.- Assist with estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate administration.- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, contracts, and opinions.- Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients.- Negotiate and settle disputes.- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals.- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines.- Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law.- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.Requirements:- LLB degree or equivalent.- Strong drafting experience.- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.- 1+ years' experience as an Attorney, with a strong focus on litigation and estates.- Valid driver's license and own car, as travel to court and clients is required.- Proven experience in drafting legal documents, contracts, and opinions.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Residency in Johannesburg or East Rand is essential.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software.
