Join us.This role will be working with Our Ground Engineering United Kingdom and Ireland (UK&I) team which comprises 150 people and provides services via the Managed Service Framework for Network Rail in the production of Stage 2 Reports. A Stage 2 is a factual report prepared and issued by the Principal Mining Engineer from Network Rail, that summaries the mining and dissolution records held by the Network Rail Technical Authority for a specified search area, the report also includes a recommendation as to the level of mining risk at the site and what if any are the next steps. The UK&I Business have been supporting in delivering over 1,200.00 Stage 2's over the past 4 years to support Network Rail to meet their client obligations to ensure the industry takes into consideration mining risks within Projects, also supports Network Rail's proactive management of Mining Legacy RiskThe Managed Service Framework also includes the production of Network Rail Mining Training and detailed Mining Risk Assessments for various clients beyond those undertaken for Network Rail.Job ActivitiesThe below process is undertaken for delivery of Stage 2 Reports, with the support and face to face training provided by UK&I Geologists
1. Network Rail analyses work bank to generate prioritised list of sites requiring a Stage 2 Report
2. Network Rail collates evidence files, which comprises historic plans and correspondence.
3. AECOM to prepare draft Stage 2 Mining Reports
4. Reports are presented to Network Rail's Principal Mining Engineer using Microsoft Team (All comments to be implemented prior to approval)
5. Principal Mining Engineer to control the issue of the reports following approval.QualificationsJob Requirements
