Job Summary Role and Responsibilities: Assists patients with treatment compliance by scheduling and entering medication orders into the Patient Support Programme Platform. Enter patient information (in compliance with the POPI Act), specific clinical/ medical aid and prescription information into the Patient Support Programme Platform for the purpose of reimbursement support. Notify the physician of any incomplete or incorrect prescription information; captures and updates patient Medical Profiles including medications, allergies, and medical conditions related to reimbursement support. Assist the practice staff/pharmacist/nurse with guidance on the application process in accordance with South African regulations and laws. Provides timely feedback to HCP rooms on application outcomes. Liaising with Designated Service Providers (DSPs) for medication delivery. Assists with alternative reimbursement mechanisms, where appropriate, based on pre-defined criteria. Meet performance standards in alignment with predefined metrics as per set KPIs shared by Line Manager. Contact patients to inform them of benefits and outcomes of the application process, which could entail feedback on expected out of pocket expenses. Identifies potential Adverse Event situations for reporting to Pharmacovigilance ensuring South Africa regulations and follows global policy. Identify and report product errors to the product quality department ensuring compliance with policy. Complete all training required for the Care Coach role, which could include, but are not limited to disease and product education and all relevant policies and procedures. Visit HCP Practices according to predefined criteria according to KPIs. Provide patient education on disease and product, according to guidance provided by the Professional Information Leaflet (PI) and Patient Information Leaflet (PIL). Establishing and maintaining strong network with relevant Case Managers via 3rd party. Build rapport with centres or HCP rooms as identified by line manager which could include HCPs, nurses, pharmacist & authorization clerks. Synthesize insights that may impact patient care and proactively share with line manager. Understanding funder reimbursement processes. Assist with patient support across Therapeutic areas addressing business needs to support patients and ensuring continuity of care. Understanding funder benefit design. Maintain current South African Nursing Council Registration. Qualifications and Education Requirements: High School Certificate Required (Matric or equivalent). Individuals must meet applicable South African Nursing Council Requirements and have a valid Registered Nurse Qualification in place. Have a valid drivers license and own transport. Previous experience in patient education, oncology, immunology, neurology is highly desirable. Previous experience as a patient educator or patient care, is desirable. Must have accuracy, attention to detail, and fluency in the use of computers. Must have organization and problem-solving skills to handle patient conversations identify issues and address needs. Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of private payers, pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, and alternate funding resources is highly desirable. Ability to maintain professional communication skills and an understanding of how to maintain a courteous attitude toward customers and fellow employees. Preferred Skills: Driven individual.
