- At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience working in a similar position as a dedicated Cashbook Clerk dealing with receipts more than R30m average per month.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures is essential.
- Extensive Pastel experience including use of bank manager.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to multi-task on numerous ongoing projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a pressurized time and deadline-driven environment.
- Own transport is essential.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Processing skills.
- Payment allocation follow up.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Cashbook clerk.
- Maintain and reconcile multiple cashbooks to the bank statements daily.
- Processing of daily EFT and receipts including debit orders.
- Follow up with clients regarding payment allocation and requesting remittance advices.
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding payments.
- Responsible for reconciling the following GL Accounts.
- Transfer (TR) Bank.
- Bank Reconciliations for various regions.
- Intercompany/Loans Billings Reconciliation.
- Unallocated Receipts.
- Filing/General Administration.
- Assisting Business Services Accountant with month-end activities.
- Assisting Group Financial Manager with ad hoc financial tasks.
