Category Management Implementation Specialist - 6 Months Contract



Duties.

Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement category management strategies that align with organizational goals. Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, supplier opportunities, and potential risks within specific categories. Assisting in the selection and management of suppliers within the category, ensuring alignment with business needs and performance targets. Leading the implementation of category management plans, ensuring they are effectively executed across relevant departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Working closely with procurement and across the business to ensure category strategies are implemented Tracking and analysing category performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and overall value delivered to the business. Supporting the negotiation, execution, and management of contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions. Identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement in category management processes and supplier performance. Identifying risks within the category supply chain and recommending mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and cost efficiency. Reporting on category performance, strategies, and market developments to senior management and other key stakeholders. Providing training and support to internal teams on category management processes, tools, and best practices. Assisting with budget planning and ensuring that category management activities stay within budget while delivering expected results. Leading or supporting change management efforts as new category strategies and processes are implemented across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience



Must have a minimum NQF level 7 qualification in business or law or SCM related field or Commerce Minimum of 7 years operational experience related to category management.
