Job SummaryCategory Manager Montague Gardens Cape TownOur manufacturer/FMCG client in Montague Gardens is looking for a Category Manager / Brand Manager with 3-4 years plus experience. It's a real marketing role. You need product experience as well as managing a brand. You will be responsible for managing a category within the product range of the company. Report to the Marketing Director. of products in the company. Should have product experience or even an inclination towards having worked in a product or hardware or FMCG environment. You need pure marketing or product experience. This is not a Buyer position.Salary up to R 60 000 basic plus medical aid and pension - Highly Negotiable EEMin RequirementsDegree in Marketing, Business administration, or a related field3-4 years of category/brand/marketing management experience within a FMCG environmentAbility to think on a Strategic level and to execute category channel plansResponsibilitiesPositioning products - getting a clear message through to the sales team of where our good/better/best should be positioned in a storePositioning - which stores to position them in, what POS needs to go with them, what the pricing should be.Category / Channel strategy, visit the regions/countries to stay up to date with market development and Visit trade showsParticipate in pricing alignment within Global accounts, channels and marketsEnsure Brand and Packaging consistency within the CategoryProduct development Manage the NPD process, be involved in the R&D process validation for the category/channel projects together with Purchasing, R&D develops new concepts with external suppliersPackaging / Layout design update the designs within the categoryTrade support monitorsDesign and re-design packaging layouts for Consumer productsAligning best POS practices with Global Consumer marketSupport new Market developmentApply OnlineFrogg RecruitmentFROGG RecruitmentRecruiter
