Category Manager - Cape TownFull job descriptionPurpose of the JobDevelop and execute sourcing and supplier relationship management strategies for Engen category to ensure alignment with the fresh procurement strategy of product, pricing, procurement model and business ownershipAdditional InformationFixed Contract (1 year)Location: Cape Town What you'll be doingEnsure implementation of non-fuel strategic objectivesDevelop & review Coffee operational standards to continuously improve efficiencies.Engage Internal customers and stakeholders on category delivery needs to ensure full understanding of deliverables.Present feedback and findings internal stakeholders in order to drive regional standardsEnsure Promotional implementation through evaluation to support trade planning objectivesManage and maintain relationships amongst Retail Sales & Operations & Convenience Operations teams to deliver turnover & income targetsDevelop positive relationships with all site managers & Dealers within the Engen networkUnderstanding and analyzing competitor analysis to ensure Engen remains relevant in the market.Who you areYou are dynamic thinker with a high aptitude for learningYou have built credibility within your organization and amongst your peersYou are an expert at implementation and execution of strategic objectivesYou are passionate about retail and sellingYou have excellent communication and negotiation skillsYou have a reputation for being insightful and operating with integrityWhat you've done beforeAt least 6 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within mainstream retail with 3 of these linked to supermarket retailers or the hospitality industryNQF level 7 (Degree/Advanced Diploma with specialization Retail, Business Management or equivalent))Understanding of food services/QSR/Hospitality industry and products prevalent in the South African retail landscape.Deep knowledge of retail principles with in-depth understanding of Retail operations.Exciting ChallengesImmerse yourself in various aspects of the organizationInfluencing the strategic direction of Engen convenience businessOperate effectively in an ever-changing, dynamic and agile business environmentRelationship building across various stakeholder platforms within organizationsPresentations to Business LeadershipEducationBachelors Degree in Sales and Marketing or Business ManagementJob Advert Closing Date: All job adverts close five days after date posted Engenxe2x80x99s approved Employment Equity plans and targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.We welcome applications from people with disabilities.
