Negotiating with Representatives from Suppliers and maintaining comprehensive records of all transactions with Suppliers.
Negotiating deals and prices to achieve competitive retail prices and budgeted gross profit for DC and Retail.
Advising Retailers on store standards, specs, ranging, pricing and promotions.
Achieving targeted sales, stock and GPs while minimizing out of stocks.
Managing stock levels and service levels against sales and budgets.
Managing product ranges within specified product categories.
Managing promotions and ability to drive sales to Retailers.
Requirements:
Marketing or Purchasing related Degree/Diploma
Extensive management experience in trading in the FMCG industry
Thorough knowledge of buying systems and processes essential
Excellent negotiating, communication and interpersonal skills
Well able to manage in a pressurized / demanding work environment
Strong drive, initiative, sense of urgency and use of innovation to resolve business challenges
Knowledge of FMCG Marketing is essential
Advanced Computer Literacy
