This role is a shared services role and provides strategic sourcing capability across the GoC - directly supporting the wholly managed business units and indirectly supporting the joint ventures.To coordinate and integrate the effective management of the supply of strategic Mining Equipment and Commodities/ Mining Services and/or Capital Project Goods and Services, as well as site related services to the De Beers Group of Companies (GoC) in order to ensure maximum benefit and value and operational compliance in line with the organisation's strategic needs and minimise risk to the business.Key duties of the Category Specialist include:

• Extensive Market analysis and to implement an effective sourcing strategy
• Contract Management including contractual compliance
• Spend analysis
• Stakeholder Management
• Tender and strategy Implementation
• Value delivery
• Reporting and Information Support
• Provide strategic sourcing process governance

QualificationsQualifications and Required Skills

• A Commercial/Engineering degree
• 3-5 year relevant supply chain experience.
• Experience in savings initiatives
• Experience tender development and execution, and Contract Administration and Management is essential
• Utilization of a formal methodology/process for sourcing activity is an advantage.
• Experience in the leadership and management of people is required.
• It is advantageous to have experience in a range of different commodities and services
