Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Ceiling Installer and Light Fixture Technician to work on installing ceilings, including dome or standard designs, and fixing/installing light fixtures. The ideal candidate will have experience in ceiling installation, electrical work related to lighting, and ensuring the aesthetic quality and safety of all ceiling and light installations.

Key Responsibilities

:

Install ceiling structures, including dome ceilings, suspended ceilings, and drywall, according to project specifications. Install light fixtures, ensuring proper wiring and connections, and troubleshoot electrical systems as necessary. Ensure proper insulation, ventilation, and integration of lighting with the ceiling design. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to meet deadlines and project specifications. Handle the preparation and installation of ceiling finishes and light fixtures. Perform regular inspections of ceilings and lighting installations for maintenance or repair needs. Follow all safety protocols when working with electrical components and when performing installations at height. Ensure all materials are properly stored and used efficiently to reduce waste. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills and Qualifications

:

Proven experience in ceiling installation, including suspended ceilings and dome ceilings. Knowledge of light fixture installation and basic electrical systems. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Physical ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials.

Preferred

:

Electrical certification or qualifications. Previous experience with architectural or dome ceiling installations. Formal training or certification in electrical work or light fixture installation.
