Closing Date: 04/09/2024Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Cellars, based at Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful incumbent will report to the Winemaker.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for planning and blending of Bulk Intrinsic.
  • Responsible for receiving and despatch of products and other additives.
  • Responsible for Quality of the bulk intrinsic and hygiene in the cellar.
  • Capturing of all production, transfer, receiving and despatch information on SAP
  • Minimising losses and write-offs.
  • Active co-ordination of daily operations meetings and co-ordination of daily team tasks.
  • Manage housekeeping and safety and maintaining 5S standards.
  • Managing and supervising cellar staff and ensuring that the set targets for our KPI's are met.
  • Tasting of Line checks and Finals at the Quality Laboratory.
  • Drive savings initiatives within your department.
  • Involve with internal/external and safety audits.
  • Implement and maintain ISO quality and environmental management systems.
The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Degree in Agriculture, Viticulture and Oenology).
  • At least 3 years relevant cellar working experience
  • Experience in managing and leading a team is essential.
  • Computer literate in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in SAP will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, identify and solve problems and make relevant decisions.
  • Be self-motivated and action driven.
  • Be a team player and innovator.
  • Sound leadership and conflict handling experience
  • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Valid driver's license (Code 08)
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures and instructions are advantageous.
