Job Description
The successful candidate must be able to:Work effectively under pressureWork in a teamEffectively communicate with fellow staff members and OncologistsWill be required to work overtime or flexi-hoursPlan all 3D techniques and IMRT/VMAT independently and confidentlyStereo planning experience will be advantageousGood problem-solving skillsGood decision-making skillsEnsure adherence to SOP's and QA processes and proceduresTrain staff members in planning concepts3 years National Diploma in Radiation Therapy or EquivalentB Tech Degree or Diploma in Dosimetry would be advantageousMinimum 3 years full time clinical position post trainingMinimum 2 years Radiotherapy Planning experience in a unit/departmentOwn reliable transportation required for compulsary travelRegistration in the category Therapy Radiographer with the HPCSAMust be able to treat patients and other staff with patience and empathyMust be able to work with self-discipline, and have good time management skillsMust have stable and secure network to work from homeMust be able to come into the office when requiredWill be required to plan for all regionsThe Company's approved Employment Equity plan and targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process aligned to the Groups Employment Equity strategy.
