Job Description


The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide administrative support to the agricultural training centre.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification Administration, Skills Development, Training, Human Resource Development or an equivalent qualification; A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
RecommendationExperience in the following: Delivering, coordination and or management of vocational programmes, project management and stakeholder relations.
Key Performance AreasFacility Management; Coordination and Facilitation of Training Programmes; Market the Training Centre and Stakeholder Relations; Financial Management; Coordination and Facilitation of Administration & Support Services at the Centre.
CompetenciesExtended knowledge and understanding of the following: Agricultural Industry
and relevant practices / policies; Industry related training programmes (formal and non-formal) and relevant study fields including social and life skills related programmes; Revelant legislation and prescripts regulating education, training and development; Human resource management and development; Financial Management; Labour Relations practices/policies; Relevant Education and Training strategies impacting on the Agricultural Industry. Skills in the following: Communication skills (verbal/written); Intepersonal skills; Analytical skills; Negotiation skills; Persuasive skills; Planning and organisational skills; Motivation skills; Project management skills; Financial management skills; Diversity management skills.Presentation skills; Facilitation skills; Computer literacy.
RemunerationR 376 413 per annum (Salary level 8)Note on remuneration: Employees' service benefits or obligations (13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
