Job Summary CERTIFICATION OFFICIAL (In Training) Location: Christiana, North West (Candidate must be willing to relocate, if required) Remuneration: R 605 096. 00 TCOE Closing date: 30 November 2024 Starting date: 1 January 2025 /ASAP Our client wishes to appoint a Certification Official at their offices in Christiana, North West with the possibility of being transferred to Douglas in the Northern Cape. : Responsible for all aspects regarding certification of seed potatoes e.g. registration of units, field inspections, sampling, tuber inspections and certification of lots. Administrative tasks, amongst others, include capturing of data. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Agriculture with plant pathology as main subject and/or plant production and/or agronomy or related fields as main subject Approximately two years in service training is provided, before a candidate fully qualifies on all aspects of certification. Desired skills/attributes for suitable candidates: Energetic and positive attitude; High work ethic and principled decision-making ability Passion for agriculture, love to work outdoors as a lot of field work is involved, with extended working hours in season and fair amount of travelling; Keen interest to learn; Candidate must be able to work without supervision and as part of a team; Manage own workload efficiently and effectively; Sound internet skills and a high level of computer literacy; Fluent in English (verbal and written) and
