About the Company:
A dynamic and fast-growing company in the financial services sector, with a strong presence in infrastructure and energy markets, is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations across a group of companies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in financial strategy, reporting, and compliance, ensuring operational excellence within a multi-entity environment.What Youll Do:
xe2x9cx94 Financial Management & Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all subsidiaries.
• Perform variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Oversee multi-currency financial management and intercompany reconciliations.

xe2x9cx94 Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT laws, and SARS regulations.
• Monitor and manage corporate tax, PAYE, and financial reporting standards.
• Lead year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.

xe2x9cx94 Budgeting & Forecasting

• Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
• Identify areas for cost efficiency and process improvement.

xe2x9cx94 Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance finance team.
• Ensure strong internal financial controls and best practices.

What Were Looking For:
Education & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.

xf0x9fx93x8a Experience & Skills

• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, IFRS, VAT, and tax compliance.
• Experience with multi-entity or group consolidations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, SAP, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.

xf0x9fx92xa1 Bonus Points for:

• Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, SimplePay, Dext, Syft).
• Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs or Caseware Working Papers.
