Responsible for managing Cheese Packing production to achieve set production targets, managing productivity levels of the department to an optimum level.
Manage all staff in the department.
Daily mass balances and losses to be monitor and manage to an acceptable level.
Compile and update production reports daily.
Maintain HACCP and ISO quality systems.
Apply problem solving techniques for all quality problems in the department.
Ensure that all hygiene standards are kept, and procedures are followed.
Manage micro-environments (positive air, drains, water and equipment) of the Cheese Packing area.
Interact with the Lab for releases, swabs, and product results.
Ensure training plans are being followed.
Create a positive environment within the Cheese Packing team.
Knowledge and Skills:
Matric, Management Course, HACCP Course, Dairy Qualification in Cheese, Processed Cheese and/ or Butter manufacturing.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar environment and have dealt with personnel and, labour relations issues in a unionized environment.
