Job Description


Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have a recognised chef qualification and an excellent food portfolio
  • Minimum of five years experience as a chef
  • Excellent knowledge of taste and flavour combinations
  • Skilled in visual presentation with an eye for detail
  • Must be up to date with global food trends
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English both written and spoken
  • Must have own transport and live locally
  • Must be skilled in mentoring, developing, and managing staff to prepare new, original dishes daily according to availability of fresh produce from the garden
  • Stock management skills, price calculation and purchasing ability is a must
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must be able to maintain safety and hygiene standards at all times to the highest level
