Job Description


Our client is seeking an experienced Chef to join their vibrant team.Requirements:

  • A Culinary Arts Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution (advantageous but not mandatory with proven experience).
  • Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Grill Chef or similar role.
  • Proficient in cooking steaks to various doneness levels (rare to well-done) and working with hot and cold stations.
  • Experience in preparing a range of dishes, including salads, desserts, and grill items.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook steaks, ensuring accuracy to customer specifications.
  • Operate both cold and hot stations, including grill, sautxc3xa9, and salad preparation.
  • Create and present high-quality salads, desserts, and other dishes.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure fresh ingredients are readily available.
  • Consistently deliver dishes with the highest quality and presentation standards.
Salary:
R30 000 - R35 000
